Remarks 1
  • Every student is welcomed to come to ICL Laboratories and to use PC terminals for self-study, as long as the ICL Laboratories are not occupied by class, seminar or event.
  • Weekdays (Normal) are the lecture days of the liberal arts classes. Weekdays (Reduced) are the non-lecture days, including the open campus days.
  • The following days are “Holidays,” at which all the ICL Laboratories are closed:
    • Saturday, Sunday and national holidays
    • Summer break (August)
    • Winter break (year-end and New Year holidays)
Remarks 2
  • ICL Laboratories may be urgently closed because of emergency reasons, such as typhoon and heavy rain/snow.
  • The commercial use of ICL Laboratories and PC terminals is prohibited.
  • The academic use should be given the first priority. When the ICL Laboratories are crowded, the non-academic use should be declined.

The technical assistant (Tech-A) is a graduate student who assists our students at the use of various services and responds to the user’s inquiries. If you have any trouble or inquiry, please feel free to ask Tech-A.

  • A Tech-A at work wears a nameplate of “テクニカルアシスタント.”
  • Tech-A service is absent at the holidays and the reduced period of the ICL Labos.
Case Examples
  • Troubles on the user authentication: login is rejected, or authentication codes are lost.
  • Troubles on the PC terminals: terminal is freezing or black out, or PC does not boot.
  • Inquiries on programming: compile errors and algorithmic/logical errors.
  • Inquiries on various information services: Campus Wi-Fi, Student’s email, ISTU, Course Registration and confirmation of academic records, etc.

Make sure that Tech-A does not assume or cover your term paper assignments, although they may give several helpful advices on the term assignments.
